The message "Mode Not Supported" most likely refers to resolution/refresh rate setting. Play around with the settings. (You may need a monitor to toy with it before hooking it back up to the Samsung.)

Agreed. That said, CCP knows that the UI needs help. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned in the first live dev blog. Personally, I don't expect a UI overhaul until after Revelations III.
